Mission
To build a community of people who love God and one another, by leading them to faith in Jesus Christ, perfecting them in spiritual maturity, and equipping them for ministry and missions.
Vision
To see a church family of 500 transformed lives worshipping the glorified Christ with exuberating joy.
Doctrinal Distinctives
We are evangelical. This basically means two things: (1) we believe that the Bible is the essential and infallible record of God’s self-disclosure and is therefore our final authority in all matters of life and doctrine, and (2) we believe people need to be saved by responding to the gospel of Jesus Christ.
We are essentially reformed in our theology. This means that we embrace and exult in the sovereignty of God over all things, and that we place the emphasis on the activity of God and the glory of God in the salvation of sinners.
We are charismatic. This means (1) that we are active in our pursuit and practice of all the gifts of the Spirit as found in the New Testament, and (2) that our worship is expressive and passionate.
Brief History
Pr. Bethel Johnson, upon his arrival in the US in 1984, started ministering to a group of Keralites meeting in Somerville, until he moved to Waltham in 1988. Subsequently, Pr. Johnson, along with Philip Thomas, started a fellowship in Waltham, at first holding meetings in his basement. During the same period, few believers were meeting in Cambridge under the leadership of Pr. George Varughese. In 1992, the two groups merged and formed the India Pentecostal Assembly of Boston in Waltham, MA. Later, Pr. George relocated to Florida and Pr. Johnson continues to lead the congregation.
The Sunday School and youth ministry at IPAB were developed in 1992 by Philip Thomas, Dr. Sam Kannampally and Dr. Thomas Idiculla.

Know our Pastor
Born into a Pastor's family, Pr. Johnson was inspired since his childhood by his father Pr. Idiculla Chacko's transparent life and committment to witness Christ. Pr. Johnson dedicated his life for ministry in 1989, in response to a vision from the Lord asking him to build a church. He completed his theological studies in 1993 from International Fellowship Ministries at Winchester, MA. Pr. Johnson holds the conviction that everyone who comes across his path of life deserves to hear, at least once, the saving and healing touch of Jesus. He is strongly rooted in prayer and interceeds for his church members even while working on the treadmill!
The theme verse for his ministry is Colossians 1:28 - "to present everyone perfect in Christ Jesus."
Pr. Johnson, his wife Susan, and their five children, Jean, Julie, Joanne, Jemimah and Jonathan, are committed to serving the Lord as a family.
